Two weeks before losing my life to UC Hastings for the third and final year of this relentless torture, Rachel and I paid our friends Hunter and Aubrey Hartman a visit in Huntington Beach. Below are some photos from our seaside adventure:
This man hammered a nail into his nose.
Then he used pliers to pull it out. We left without paying him. Pretty sure I saw him chasing other non-payers with the same snot-covered nail.
Hunter and Aubrey posing for engagement photos.
Hunter and Aubrey realizing that they are already married and don’t need engagement photos.
Nathan and Rachel seeing whose shirt could balloon the largest as it filled with the sea breeze (Nathan won).
Shark bait.
H2O.
Crazy man kite surfing in the middle of nowhere.
Delicious Mexican restaurant with a beautiful view of the sunset. Trust me, we had a great view of it. Does anyone know how long it takes for your eyes to recover from sun damage?
The next day we left for paddle boarding. Hunter and Nathan tried their best not to blaze past the girls.
Rich people boats and houses. They put covers over the really nice yachts.
Our middle class rides.
The group after two mean hours of paddle boarding, ordinance breaking, and a long cut back to shore.
Hunter skitching (skate-hitching) a ride with Aubrey.
Riding off into the sunset.
Thanks so much to our great hosts Hunter and Aubrey! Even though my motto is under promise and over deliver, we’ve spent the entire 15 months of our marriage telling friends that we’d come visit them. We finally delivered.
