I think I had blocked this all from my mind once summer began back in May. But it’s the end of August and unfortunately, summer came and went WAY too fast. It was such a great summer, Nathan was neither a student nor employed and it was wonderful. I know that was and will be the only time that will ever happen. I was quickly reminded what it was like for him to be in school when I came home from work and found him here like this:
Ohhhhh yeahhhh… he has to read and study. Dang it. No more coming home and talking to him forever and watching tv and doing fun stuff.
But the good news, only 2 more semesters of school for the rest of his life!! Hallelujah!
I sent him off on his first day of school with this love note on our shower:
Keep going, honey. I know you can do it! I’m really trying to be better at not being a distraction! 🙂

That is rather challenging when one person is in school & having to study at night, & the other is not & just wants to hang out together. Sad. Only one more year of this studying thing, you guys!

If he was going into environmental law, at least you could be assured he would be reading something INTERESTING. 🙂 Push on through, both of you!
