Things are slowly coming along, in regards to my job status. This was a big week for me! I started my new job, at which I am EMPLOYED (which means it is permanent!) at an amazing office in Alameda. I work there Mondays and Tuesdays. On my first day, I was SO nervous. Like, as nervous as I was for boards. I don’t know why . . . I guess I have felt so comfortable temping for so long, that to have an actual, permanent job is a little intimidating. The night before I was having nightmares all night long about being late, not knowing where all the stuff is, making patients late, and so on. Fortunately none of that happened and everything went smoothly.
THEN, I was offered a potentially long temping job at an office right here in Castro Valley. That office is also amazing! I started with them this last Wednesday and I will work with them Weds and Thurs. until their hygienist recovers from a surgery. Who knows if that will be 6 weeks or 6 months. We will see. (Hopefully 6 months or more!)
For the month of February I am working 4 days a week! YAY! Hopefully March will be the same. I love being able to keep busy throughout the day with work. I also absolutely love what I do. I love meeting new people and I love being able to help them out.
The 3 weeks before I started my new job, I was able to temp at Dad’s office on Mondays and Tuesdays (and one Wednesday)! It was a lot of fun. I just love being in his office and working with him and everyone else in the office. All of his patients just love and adore him. I don’t blame them! On Sunday nights I drove up and stayed the night until Tues night. It was a lot of fun spending so much time with my wonderful Mom and Dad, but it was very hard being away from Nathan. I just don’t like to be away from him at all.
So, things are coming along and I am very happy.

The Endodontist that my office refers to apparently has parties all the time. Last night, Nathan came with me to the Alameda Theater. We watched “Just Go With It” and ate some popcorn and skittles for free, along with part of my office and the other offices that refer to him. Here I am with some girls I work with. Nathan and I had a blast hanging out and socializing with friends. We almost forgot what it was like . . .

Rachel Rachel! You are a beautiful bride! I found your blog from Emily’s. A huge congrats for being EMPLOYED! That’s fantastic news and I’m sure all your temping has prepared you well. How fun to work with your dad for a little while. The office where I’ve been working since August only runs 4 days/wk, and I’ve actually quite enjoyed that schedule. It’s been great to have one day to catch up on all the housework and still enjoy the weekend!
