i know this is aimed at the mcCs but i live here too so i’ll defend. it was 20 degrees today and i wore a thin, long-sleeved shirt and a sweater (not a jacket or anything with substance) and i was totally fine.
Fine is one thing, blissful is another. Anyone can handle 20 degree weather, but who would prefer it over 70 degrees and sunny? No one but the Grinch.
didn’t you live here?
Living in Utah is much different than defending it. I certainly would have preferred California weather over Utah weather during my entire five year hiatus there. There is no way that you can look up at the sky with that terrible inversion, your teeth chattering and your nose dripping, and honestly say, “I prefer this weather over California weather.”
no, but i’m looking forward the the warm/hot summer days instead of year round 70 degrees. one day we’ll live in california, but for now i’m happy here and would prefer not to hate the place where i live, ya know? that would be negative energy that i don’t need.
Yep, just LOVIN this GORGEOUS weather. First daffodils bloomed yesterday. Can you say GREEN with bright YELLOW and BLUE BLUE BLUE sky over all? UT is not as bad as what Chicago is going through right now. Sounds like the Chicago Blizzard of ’79 we survived. Ryan was a baby. We dug paths to our house through 4 ft drifts and managed with one car until the spring thaw finally exposed enough of our other one to put it to use again. Good times.
I was walking to school when it was 5 degrees the other morning and my nose hair froze due to my runny nose… 🙁
Mom, that is so crazy!!
Anyway, moral of this blog post, California winter is far superior than Utah winter. No hating on Utah over here. We still love it. We just love it here more.
