This beautiful baby Ellie is 4 months! She is beginning to softly and gently babble. Pretty much everything she does is soft and gentle. She’s not a loud, abrupt baby. When she cries it’s just like a, hey, excuse me, I want you to know I need something, thank you, kind of cry. Her babbling is quiet and calm and not too frequent since she’s mostly busy watching her busy sister. It is really nice to not be all the entertainment for a baby. But sometimes I do forget that I should stop and look her in the eyes and talk to her and try to make her laugh, and not just leave that for Madeline.
She’s grabbing her toes now and sucking all the toe jam out. She loves gnawing on those toes. Ellie still loves blowing raspberries all the time, still has tons of drool, still has tons of spit up, and is still a bad sleeper. She rolled from tummy to back on 8/26/16. She has rolled from tummy to back and back to tummy a handful of times, but she rarely does it. I don’t know if she just doesn’t like to, or forgets that she can do it, but she rarely rolls. She is losing a lot more of her baby hair and a lot of blonde hair is coming in.
At her 4 month well check, she was weighing in at a measly 12 lbs 12 oz (19%ile), 24 in tall (49%ile), and 41.9 cm head circumference (83%ile). Basically, she’s a genius baby with a big brain.
