Sweet Ellie girl at 3 months. This month, we went to Lake Almanor and spent a couple weeks in Santa Rosa with my family. She got her first cold on this trip. It seems like that’s when her sleep went south and it never recovered. She could hardly breathe through her nose, so a few times in the night I’d have to suction out her snot. Luckily, she actually let me do it instead of fighting me. Ever since then, she wakes up every 1-2 hours at night. Occasionally she’ll do a 3 or 4 hour stretch, but that’s usually right after she falls asleep and I’m not in bed yet.
She drools a lot and spits up SO MUCH. It is so gross and not fun. Poor girl. She also loves to blow raspberries. She just sits there and blows raspberries until she’s soaking wet.
It takes a lot to get this girl to crack a smile or laugh. Usually she’ll only laugh when Madeline is doing something silly, which Madeline loooves. I try all day to get her to smile and laugh, and it only comes as a special treat. She’s such a serious, show no emotion baby. Which is kind of nice cause she doesn’t fuss too much. She will fuss, but only a little here or there, and it’s not loud or extreme. It’s a mellow fuss. I love when she looks at me and slowly makes eye contact and you can see things processing in her brain and then she slowly gives me a big smile.
Ellie is a sweet, yummy baby.
I love this typical sister shot. Madeline loves to smother her sister and Ellie is often not too fond of so much smothering. haha.
