On New Year’s Eve, we drove up to my parent’s house to celebrate Christmas with them and Ryan and Tina. The weather was absolutely perfect! I thought it might be chilly outside, but it was so beautiful and warm in the sun. Of course, we had to go out and explore.
My mom got Madeline that skirt and those boots for Christmas. They are so darling. I love those boots!!
Cute Grandma Jean and little Madeline.
This is one of my favorite pictures. She just wanted to run wild and free!
Isn’t that green grass so beautiful?!
Madeline does NOT sleep well out of her element. She slept well for about 3 hours, but after that it was near impossible to get her back to sleep. So I brought her out to read her some books and help her get sleepy. This picture reminds me of the door hanger my Mom made for me and Jessica at Girl’s Camp that said on one side, “Go Away. I’m in a bad mood.” So our NYE was not too exciting. Nathan was asleep in the other room, my parents were asleep, and I was trying to wrestle the crying baby and help her go to sleep at midnight. Woooo!
Naps were also very rough. She eventually gave out and fell asleep on me, which she hasn’t done in a long time. It was nice to have her snuggling me.
Nathan came in and took over so I could go out and socialize with Ryan and Tina. I love how she’s snuggled deep into Daddy.
We went to the BV ward breakfast early in the morning. We were all still exhausted from the night before because M was up every few hours screaming. Ryan and Tina came up in the morning. We just hung out and talked… and then we went to an early dinner at the French Garden in Sebastapol. My parents let them come pick oranges and they give them a gift card. So we got treated to dinner! We drove home after that. It was fun!
