This is a really horrible picture, but it kinda shows how our morning went. We were all verrrrrrry tired. I had pictured our first Christmas morning all by ourselves to be a whole lot more magical. But sure wasn’t. Madeline woke up suuuuuper early and did not want to go back down. So I got to get up with her and wait until daddy woke up. We wrapped two huge boxes for her to unwrap. She has a bajillion toys and plenty of clothes, and any time she needs something we get it for her, so we didn’t really know what to buy her this Christmas. It’s not like I was going to buy her a sippy cup and wrap it. Plus we knew she’d have more fun with the unwrapping than with whatever was inside.
Madeline unwrapping her favorite gift from Auntie Rachel! Cabbage Patch baby!
She was so anxious to get that baby out!
I love this shot of her doing her “awww” face and rocking.
Giving Aunt Rachel a big thank you!!
Madeline received a lot of really wonderful gifts from her Grandma Donna, Aunties Megan, Rachel, and Laura. This girl is very loved!! After we opened presents, we had dinner and Aunt Debbie and Uncle Gary and Aunt Carol came over. We tried to stay up as late as we could with this girl. She refused a second nap that day so she was cranky and tired. But overall, it was a very nice day.
This is the picture that Rachel takes every year, except with the sign sitting on Wyatt. This year, Madeline got to sit next to the sign!
