This girl is 8 months old! Every month I’m amazed at how much she has grown and how much she is learning. She is now weighing approximately 22 pounds and 28 inches long. {Thanks to Jessica for lending Madeline this cute dress until baby girl Skankey grows into it!}
She is 100% in her crib, and I am 100% in my bed. I finally weaned myself out of her room. It was hard, but so necessary. I thought maybe her sleep would improve if she was in her own room, or if I wasn’t in there… But nope. She’s still sleeping 2-3 hour stretches at night. If we’re lucky, she’ll go 4. Sometimes she goes back down easily, but most of the time it can take up to an hour to get her back down. She’ll be asleep in our arms, but as soon as she is lifted away from our bodies and down, she’s not pleased. But I think she’s getting the hang of it and realizing that it’s more comfortable to sleep on her own than in our arms all night. She’s also starting to get the hang of napping on her own. Kind of. It’s a work in progress. I’ve been trying to put her down for each nap now (still 3 a day) and if we’re lucky she will have a solid nap all on her own. But usually it’s about 20-30 min and then she will finish it up my arms.
She is starting to wave. She’s doesn’t perform every time, but she’s starting to get the hang of it. She gives kisses! I love them. They are open mouth and wet, but they are so so sweet. She is ALMOST crawling. Kind of. She is just raring to go, but not quite coordinated yet. But I think it’s going to happen any day now. I’m just afraid she’ll start to crawl on a day I’m at work 🙁 That would be awful. She smells so yummy. She loves looking at books. This girl would be content with that pacifier in her mouth all day. Lately she just wants to be held. She protests when I put her down to play by herself. We just love this beautiful, funny, smart, tasty girl.
Although this face is cute, she was beginning to show her protest for the photoshoot.
This is the face she makes a lot lately! It’s usually when she’s upset or annoyed at something. She sticks out her lips up against her nose and breaths in and out really fast. It always makes me laugh!
Okay okay! I’ll stop forcing you to sit there and pose while I snap pictures…

These pictures are all so beautiful of Madeline! My favorite though is her annoyed face! haha!! Love that girl. Her personality is so great!
the sleeves on that dress are perfect since they aren’t tight around her arms! I would love to see a video of when she’s annoyed…you’d have to get her annoyed and then take the time to make a video, but it would be so worth it!
I love that beautiful little girl! Looks like Maddy has officially passed up Lyla in weight! Haha. She is the perfect babe except for her sleeping….you must be so exhausted!!!!!!
