This girl is growing fast. How is she 7 months old already? Only 5 short months till she is ONE. I guess I better start planning her birthday party now! haha JUST kidding. This girl can EAT! She is loving solid food. I usually try to mix it with water and rice cereal to make it last longer cause she can eat a whole 4 oz thing of food in one sitting. She isn’t a very picky either. She’ll eat whatever I give her. I think she now expects her 3 meals a day and gets really excited about eating. As well as her mommy’s milk. Those thighs just keep getting juicier! If my scale is accurate, then she is weighing in at a grand total of 21 lbs 8 oz. But even if it’s off, she’s at least 20 pounds. I love this sweet, beautiful, healthy, curious, chunky monkey. She smells soooo yummy. I could just sniff her and kiss her all day long and be happy. She took a babbling hiatus for a while, but just started back up again with her cute, happy noises. I don’t know if she’s teething or just gets it from her father, but she drools SO much! Sometimes I have to change her shirt a few times during the day cause it’s just drenched in drool. Madeline is constantly blowing spit bubbles. Which makes the drool just pour out. She also drools a lot when she’s sleeping. Especially now cause we have her sleeping on her tummy. She seems to sleep much better that way. AND she’s FINALLY in her crib! It took me quite a while to get the guts to get her out of our room and into her own. She’s been in her crib for a week and half now and I’ve been sleeping on the floor next to her. It just makes me really nervous having her sleep on her tummy. I’ll soon wean myself out and let be on her own. She is still showing no interest in rolling over. It’s great for me, but I’m kinda like, so what’s the deal? When should I be concerned? When she’s on her back, she’ll reach for something to her side with her opposite hand and her upper body rolls to the side, so I’ll move the object back a little bit to see if the hips and legs will follow, but then she just turns back over and is like, meh, I don’t care that much about that toy. Maybe her tummy is just too big 🙂
We took her to see an ophthalmologist (which I really loved and I wish he could be her pediatrician. I don’t care for her pediatrician at all.) because I was concerned about her left eye being turned in too much. He needed to dilate her eyes. I’ve never had any experience with that, so as he was telling me that his nurse is going to come in and do the dirty work, he was backing out of the room slowly, and was like, “It’s worse for the mother than it is for the baby.” I’m like, oh great… I was expecting the worst. The nurse dropped them in and Madeline squirmed a little, but no screaming or crying. Whew! Then we had to wait 15 min and then he checked them out. There was a lot of shining a light in her eyes. She was getting restless towards the end, but I loved how he kept talking about how well behaved she is. He was like, wow is she like this all the time?? So anyway, he concluded that she is far-sighted, but the majority of babies are that age. If it doesn’t get better, she will have to get GLASSES! Whaaaat. So we will go back in 3-4 months to have him check again. OR it could be pseudo strabismus where in a lot of babies it looks as though one eye is off, but they actually are not. It’s just the shape of their noses and face that make it look that way. So we shall see!
This is what she looks like when she’s pooping. Although she wasn’t pooping here, but she bends forward and her face gets bright red.

Haha I guess it’s a Fernsten thing because I drool a lot even now!!
Maybe if you bribe her with food, then she’ll roll over for you? 🙂
Cute photo sesh. And I’m glad you have a large assortment of bows so you can pick the perfect one to go with her outfit, like you did here! I love the polka dot bow choice. What a fun baby she is. Good job getting her into the crib! You don’t need to sleep on the floor next to her though. Get some sleep! And bring her to me!
