This girl loves food! This does not surprise me one bit. So far, she has tried rice cereal, peas, butternut squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, peaches, and a mixture of apple, kale, and rutabaga. She likes it all except for the last two. She made a sour face with the peaches, so I mixed it with some cereal and carrots so I didn’t waste it. I love what a pro she is at eating. Sometimes she’s so excited to eat, that she has her mouth wide open and she starts shaking her head back and forth as I’m getting the spoon to her mouth (she does that a lot when she’s nursing). But then it gets all over the place! She is such a funny girl.

I know it’s weird to take pictures of yourself, but no one is around to capture these precious moments, so I have to do it myself. I’ve been trying to teach this girl to take naps on her own. It’s tough. She sleeps for 2 hours in my arms and if I’m lucky, 30 min on her own. Not cool. I’m not sure how to teach her to sleep longer on her own. When she wakes up after her 20 min snooze, she just lays there and looks around and plays with her pacifier. So it’s not like I can let her cry it out until she falls back asleep. We’ll figure it out someday, right? In the mean time, I’m just going to enjoy the 3 snuggle sessions a day.
