On this rainy day in March

Today is a good day. It’s March first. Weird that it is already March. We finally have some much needed rain to clear the air. I woke up early, made my husband a lunch and sent him off to school. I cleaned the kitchen, washed the dishes, washed and folded loads of clothes, picked up our room, organized some papers, took the trash and recycling out, wrote in my journal, and watched the Biggest Loser on Hulu. I feel pretty good when I can accomplish so many things and it’s only 2 in the afternoon. Maybe I’ll read a book later and go to the gym with Nathan.

On rainy days like today I’ll often think of something bright and cheery. Like the color yellow. It’s my absolute favorite. I also love Ranunculus. They are the most beautiful flower. Here they are on top of our wedding cake. They were yellow, but somehow photographed orange… Oh well. They are still beautiful and make me happy. So does a clean house.
