On October 3rd, Dad turned 60! Happy Birthday, Dad! It was General Conference weekend, so we just had a little celebration. Nothing too wild and crazy. Ryan and Tina came up for his birthday dinner. I made black bean burgers and corn cakes with tomato avocado relish. Delicious!
Nathan and I got him his very own remote control helicopter! He was so excited. Our camera ran out of battery so I didn’t get any pictures of him playing with his new helicopter. But he was very cute. And a pro at flying it!
A few weeks ago, Dad randomly purchased a sail boat off craigslist! We walked down to the lake to take a look at it and give it a spin.
All the boys helping to get it ready.
It was a fun weekend filled with amazing inspiration from General Conference, delicious food, and great company. Thank you for being so great, Dad. I’ve always looked up to you and I appreciate your amazing example in all aspects of life. I love you so much, Dad!!

I love the photos! That sailboat is sweet. Also the bob Wiley quote. Dad has aged quite well. especially in that last photo, he looks no older than 40!
That was a fun time, visiting with everyone and making food together. The dishes were all yummy!
