Saint Rosa

I mean, Santa Rosa. That’s where we spent the past weekend. It all started with a 10am appointment with Dr. Phil Terribilini (yes, he has nothing but five-star reviews on Yelp) rocking my plethora of cavities. They didn’t stand a chance against his finely tuned drill. Neither did my cheeks, gums, lips or tongue against his precision injection of numbing agent. Post-dental work and pre-feeling in my mouth, Mother T., Rachel and I ran some errands and then returned home for a brief bout of R&R before whipping ourselves into shape at the beautiful Santa Rosa 24 Hour Fitness Super Sport.

After carefully crafting muscle upon muscle, Rachel and I returned home and prepared ourselves for a lovely night on the town with the parents. We ate at the 110% all-natural and fully organic French Garden Restaurant. After stuffing ourselves with free range everything, we went home and gave Father T. his long-awaited father’s day gift on behalf of his entire family (the joy has since worn off as we have both come to the conclusion that model airplanes are nowhere near as easy to fly as one would think.)

Finally, we went to bed at 11pm, only to arise long before the sun would peak over the eastern horizon. With eye crusties in tow, we made our way to the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic. The “fog” (or so they claimed) prevented an early morning launch of the first balloons, but by 8am the Good Neighbor Pharmacy balloon and thrown caution to the wind, pumped it’s angry fist in the face of authority, and lifted off into the misty morning air.

 

The rest of our day was followed by a healthy dose of vegetation and ultimately concluded with a beautiful north bay sunset.

 

P.S. stay inside if you visit, I had four ticks stop by for dinner. Unfortunately for them, this kitchen was closed.
