Wait, it’s July? How did that happen? June 2010 is gone.
Here is the Fernsten Family update for the month of JUNE:
- We came back from our fantastic honeymoon 🙂
- Hung out with the family before Jessica became a Skank(ey).
Nathan became Charlotte’s pseudo-dad for the time that Pace was back in UT.
Dad’s early Father’s Day gift from the kids: Remote Control Boat!!
- June 18, 2010 : Mr. & Mrs. Casey Skankey!
- Nathan’s absolute favorite past time (besides the computer):
- Nathan has quite a few elderly neighbors that just happen to love us. The couple that lives right across the street from us bought a brand new couch. But, fortunately for us, it is too soft for the wife’s back. They didn’t want to sell it and give to someone they did not know. So, they offered it to us! We graciously accepted and squeezed it into our living quarters.
yes, that is our bed a foot away from the couch.
- Another neighbor that lives across the street, always makes sure to keep a close eye on us. He treated us to Chinese. Up next: Thai.
- Next up, a weekend in Portland, OR. Because I did not pass my Anesthesia Exam in Utah, I had to sign up to retake it. I chose Portland, which was the next available time slot. Mom came with me to be my patient/moral support. It was a very successful trip (HALLELUJAH!) and we had such a great time together.
Legitimately sick to my stomach.
The Lion King to celebrate the victory. We met up with Aunt Pat & Uncle Stacey beforehand for dinner. 100% recommend this show!
Taking time to stop and smell the roses.
- And finally, we are taking care of this little guy for the week:
Along with watering their plants and such.
July will not be much of a break either with more weddings coming up, work, job searching, new callings, speaking in church, and all that good stuff.
Life is busy, but life is still good.
p.s. for those of you who would like to know, Nathan was called to be Elder’s Quorum Secretary and I have been called to be a Primary worker (teacher, chorister, helper, etc . . .). Fun!

Wow, that’s a busy month!
All these things are made SO much better because you don’t have to do all that traveling just in order to get together to do everything. Yay!
