I’d just like to give a shout out the the boys in Mountain View who have utilized HTML 5 to permit pop up notifications when you have received a new e-mail or chat. The feature is in Gmail Settings.

casey and i have a friend who is very anti google and says many things about them, one of which being that chrome doesn’t let you post or play this certain popular form (like .jpg) of video file…and he seemed to not like that. why is chrome so good?
Your friend doesn’t sound very bright . . .
Ok, I’m at my laptop so I can write more. First, Chrome can certainly view .jpg files. Second, Chrome sandboxes tabs so if one crashes, the browser itself doesn’t crash. It has ridiculous speeds when loading Java, etc. Finally, and most importantly, Chrome provides the most screen real estate due to lack of title bar at the top of the program when maximized.
i forgot what the file type was that he was talking about, but it’s not .jpg, but it’s that kind of thing except for videos.
Should I have google chrome on my comp?
Yes, most definitely.
How?
