Las Vegas Girl’s Trip

In the middle of November, I arrived to Las Vegas early Friday morning. Brittney picked me up and we ran a bunch of errands with her Mom and 2 cute daughters to get some things together for Lindsey’s surprise baby shower. We stopped for lunch at the delicious Cafe Rio. Mmmmm.

Friday evening, we drove into the city! I felt like I was in the movies and I was a country girl driving into the big city with my head out the window staring at all the lights! haha Seriously, I was in awe!

This is the suite we stayed in. This is Brittney’s Dad’s Boss’s suite that he owns and stays in every so often and let us stay in. It was so nice! This is the entry way.

Friday night, we met up with Natalie, Lindsey and Lauren for dinner. We were finally all together! Brittney and I were waiting forever for the other girls to show up. We got a call from Lauren that she and Lindsey were in the restaurant waiting for us. So when Brittney and I walked into the restaurant, we saw two girls standing talking to each other and we both ran up to them, screaming. They turned to us and…. they were not Lindsey and Lauren haha. It was hilarious. And right at that moment of awkardness, we see Linds and Lauren walking down the stairs and we ran over to them and screamed and hugged.

After dinner, we had to go and see the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. And of course, we roped into getting a guy to take the picture for us with his crappy camera and then send them to us from his iPad to one of the girl’s iPhone’s. He said it was donation only, and then guit tripped us into paying him more than the $5 we offered him. I thought that was generous, but he was offended and said people START at a $20 donation. HA! That guy was ridiculous, but very good at getting money!

Before we met for dinner, Brittney and I went to the suite and decorated for Lindsey’s surprise shower. So after dinner and the sign, we went to the suite and Lindsey was very surprised!

We all wore these ugly grey sweaters in honor of Lindsey because she used to wear it all the time in hygiene school and for some reason we all thought it was funny.

Saturday, we spent the day site seeing. We ended up not really doing a whole lot, other than trying to not look at porn and fend off creepy homeless guys. But it was still a lot of fun just being together and talking about everything.

I love these girls so much and I love that every time we get together, it’s like we’ve never been apart. Thanks to Nathan for watching Madeline the whole weekend!! And to Nathan’s family for watching her Sunday while Nathan flew out on business and I flew home. Overall I had a great time! But it was tough cause I was starting to get sick and all the nasty smoke and perfume in the hotels was making my eyes hurt and giving me a headache and I was reeeeaaaaaallly missing Madeline A LOT! It was hard to relax and enjoy my time cause I missed her so much it hurt.

Everyone went home on Sunday morning, and my flight wasn’t until later, so I got to spend more time with Brittney and her girls. They are so darling and we had fun together.
