TEN months

HOW is this little baby already ten months?? It really is wild how much a baby grows in the first year.

Madeline is officially crawling! It only took 9 and half months. But I’m perfectly okay with her taking her time because now she is busier than ever. Such a busy body. She is always on the go and doesn’t quite understand the word, NO. Sometimes she gives me a look with a little smile, like she knows she isn’t supposed to be touching it or going there, or she’ll try to be sneaky and when I say no she jumps.

She loves standing up. I feel like she can’t wait until she can walk and run around. She just started to take steps when we hold her hands. I love watching her walk, she’s such a big kid!

This rascal is still a bad sleeper. She wakes up multiple times a night. Rarely she will only wake twice at night, and I mean RAREly. And when that happens, I’m as happy as can be. She just likes to nurse and I know I need to cut that out, but it’s so hard. She will sometimes take a long morning nap and when she does that, then she might have only 2 naps. But lately it’s still been 3 naps because she will only sleep 40-50 min, which is just not enough.

Madeline just makes me laugh all day. She makes the best faces and sounds and all of her actions are just so cute. She makes a lot of fun squeals and blabber. She tries to be funny by swiftly moving her arms up and then down to her side onto her thighs and letting out a big sigh noise. She will do that over and over and try to make me laugh. I love her pudgy, busy hands, wandering eyes, jumpy body, squishy legs and arms, sweet cheeks, and little lips. She is just so yummy, I want to snuggle and kiss her all day. I can always make her smile with “Wheels on the Bus”. For some reason, she really likes that song.

This little one is still edentulous. I’m starting to wonder if there are any in there! She constantly rubs her tongue on her lower gums back and forth really fast. It’s so funny. So I wonder if that’s because something is about to pop through? Who knows!

When I’m getting her down for a nap or bedtime, and I’m singing to her I’ll just look at her and smile and she just stares at me smiles back with her pacifier mouth and her little body moves happily. I love those little moments.

 

Madeline has been extra clingy lately too. When I tried to take her 10 month pictures, she would cry and crawl towards me off the couch. So I tried two different times and was not successful either time. So here are a few I was able to  capture.

And she won’t ever keep a bow on! It drives me nuts! If she’s unaware that it’s there, then she doesn’t care. But once you adjust it, or she touches her head, it’s a gonner. (thank you to my bestie Allison for this super cute dress!)
