Hi, I’m Ashley, and I have VVS. I SO needed to see this. Thanks for watching out for the dummies and spreading the awareness. Hilarious.
i thought it would still show the video vertically if i turned my phone sideways…like vertical but horizontal.
I don’t quite follow what you’re laying down here Jessica . . .
so this is my thought: if i turn my phone sideways, then the video will still be vertical online, but sideways, so you’ll have to turn your head to watch it.
Maybe we should sit down in person with a phone in your hands so you can walk me through your logic here. I’m still lost.
You do see the virtue in holding your phone horizontally when filming now, correct? 🙂
Haha, yes bueno
i tried my theory, and it was incorrect. i do see the “virtue”. sometimes it’s tough to get a good shot horizontally though, like when i want a video of caroline, i take it vertically because it’s fun to see more of caroline than the scenery around her.
And herein lies the problem. When viewed on any monitor, there are more horizontal pixels than there are vertical. By filming vertically, you don’t get any more of Caroline in than you would if you took two steps back and filmed horizontally. The number of vertical pixels on a display is fixed.
but if i take the time to stand up and move, i might miss the cuteness!
