Another Fun-Filled Weekend

It’s official. I am now 22 years old. Time can stop right about now if it would like.
Nathan surprised me by taking me to Great America! I have been wanting to go to Great America for the longest time!! So my sweet hubby took me there for my birthday.

That night, his family surprised me with delicious Just Desserts cake, balloons, and gifts.

On Saturday, Nathan and I drove into the city to meet up with my Mom and Dad and Ryan and Tina for birthday lunch!

Right after lunch, Nathan and I drove up to Santa Rosa for the wedding of Claire Durling and Joe Tapparo! Congrats to the lovely couple! Claire looked absolutely stunning.

It was about 88 outside and Nathan and I were melting as we walked from our car to the chapel. Nathan says, “Oh it better be air-conditioned.” We take a step in . . . NOPE. It was a million degrees in that building. Tons of people and heat. They handed each person a hand-held fan as you walked in. Semi-helpful. Even though we were sweating just from sitting, the ceremony was very nice. It also made me even more grateful for the Temples and the sealing power.

The reception followed after out in Geyserville. It was held in a cute community center surrounded by vineyards. But it was about 5 degrees warmer. There was socializing for about an hour and a half outside, then they brought everyone inside to the semi-air-conditioned room for dinner.

Yes, you can definitely see in our faces how hot it was.

Me and my Kaitlin (still very warm inside)

We left after dinner, which ended about 7:30. We would have loved to stay for the whole event, but it went on a lot longer than we planned. Nathan still had a lesson to plan for church.

Overall, great weekend.
I just wish I was going to work today.
Some day . . .

We live 5 minutes from Great America (you should have said hi…lol). We can see the rides from our apartment complex and Brandon use to work in the building across the street from Great America before their new building was built! After your hubby finishes his law program you should check out this area…we have a lot of lawyers/newly graduated law and MBA students in our ward. And happy birthday!

That picture of you and Nathan is really cute!! Sorry I didn’t send a card… I am officially the worst sister-in-law! 🙁 BUT I will be home in August – so we can celebrate yours, Rachels and my birthday all at once! Sound good??
